We are delighted to unveil our latest project with Bowmore, the 50-year-old Vault Legend Bowmore 1966.
Meticulously matured in the world’s oldest Scotch maturation warehouse in a single ex-bourbon hogshead, this extremely rare liquid is set to join Bowmore’s Vault Legends range as one of the most coveted single malts around.
The Bowmore 1966 story is enriched by the dedication of the release to Eddie MacAffrer, Bowmore’s long-time master distiller, who retired last year after joining the team in 1966, the same year the whisky was set down.
Such a luxury product called for premium packaging so we partnered with master craftsmen John Galvin and Brodie Nairn, our collaborators on the legendary Black Bowmore Last Cask.
Revisiting some of the themes of Black Bowmore, Glasstorm hand-blew each of the 74 silver-inlaid crystal bottles. John Galvin hand-crafted bespoke cabinets in Scottish oak, inlaid with five silver ‘tree rings’ to represent each decade of maturation.
Set to retail at £20,000 per bottle, collectors will be eager to lay their hands on this historical Bowmore experience.
